Kings of War Game Review

Kings of War can be played by visiting its official game website. All you need to do to play it is register your details and turn on your Flash plugin. After that, you should be able to play the game, although be warned because this game takes a very long time to load. Before you begin playing the rpg games online though, you first have to choose the faction you want to play as. The three factions available at the start of the game include the Thebes, Sparta and Athens. You can also choose to play as either a male or female commander, although there is no character customization like there is in other free to play games like this one.

After you have done all that, you have to wait for a long time before the game actually loads up. I have a new laptop updated with all the latest updates and even then the game still took a long time to start. I’m not sure if it’s the game itself, but I’m certain my laptop is strong enough to play a game like this. I don’t even understand why the game takes a long time to load because the game isn’t fancy looking in its own right. Kings of War is just a standard 2D style free to play game with no flashy cutscenes or excellent graphics to brag about. It’s hard for me to recommend playing this game due to the awful loading times. Due to the purposes of reviewing the game, I persevered and the game is still a technical mess. The game’s textures fail to load until you wait a long time. I did not even know that this game had even audio until the sound started to come on just a few minutes later.

Kings of War Gameplay

For a RTS game though, the gameplay in Kings of War isn’t bad once you bypass all of the technical issues. You can witness battles take place in real time as your soldiers fight on the battlefield against the A.I. controlled enemies. The game also allows you to recruit stronger heroes that will help out your army. Outside of combat, there’s the usual construction of your city that you have to build up. This is essential to make sure your kingdom is thriving. The building stuff can be time consuming and boring, but this is the type of thing you have to expect from an RTS game. Yet, very simmilar browser-based game is Renaissance Kingdoms. Another cool thing about Kings of War is that this is not a solo only experience. Later on in the game, you can also team up with other players online to tackle the game’s most dangerous bosses. Boss fights are lengthier than normal battles, but they are fun to play if you have a good team assembled. Anyway, Kings of War is a fun RTS game although the long loading times are an annoyance. If you can bypass the loading times, Kings of War is worth trying out if you are a fan of RTS games in general.
