CroNix Online is a free to play multiplayer action PvP video game. The developers themselves describe the game as the first ever “Multiplayer Online Strategic Action” video game. This is because the game features a lot of action, with a heavy focus on teamwork and strategy. This isn’t the type of game where you can just attack at will, as you are bound to be killed easily that way.

CroNix Online is not a browser-based game, so you will need to download and install the game first. The game’s specifications are medium, so you don’t need a high spec type of computer to run it. You do need 3GB of hard drive space to install the game, so it’s not a very big game in terms of file size.

The story of CroNix Online is pretty unique as civilization and mankind have been plagued with power thanks to the discovery of a new type of energy. Earth is pretty much destroyed by a Nuclear War and the last members of society have broken into several different civilizations fighting for power.

Cronix Online Game Modes

Cronix Online has several game modes that you can choose from. You have the option of playing a “Custom Match”, “Auto Match” and also an “AI Match”. It’s probably best to choose the AI match first to familiarize yourself with the game’s controls. This is because playing against human players can be quite hard if you are just starting out.

CroNix Online has various characters that you can play as. There are quite a few different characters you can be. You cannot alter the look of the characters, but there are several options to be male or females, plus different races too. The characters also come equipped with various weapons too. This could include guns, axes, shields and more. The modes of play in CroNix Online are: Round, Survival and Occupation. Round mode is a standard 3 vs. 3 team deathmatch. The match lasts for 3 rounds and your goal is to basically just defeat the opposing team and get as many kills as possible. Survival mode is slightly different as it’s now two teams with five players each. The team that wins is the one that obtains the most points. Occupation mode is a capture the base type of game with up to seven players on each team.

In terms of gameplay, CroNix Online is great. You can start a match instantly and just go out there and kill as many enemies as possible. The game is played from a third-person perspective and the maps are moderately sized. They’re not too small, yet not too large either. They are big enough to give you lots of room to walk around, yet small enough to find action as fast as possible. The action in CronNix Online can get chaotic, but it’s very fun as there are lots of characters on the screen wielding various types of weapons. You can be blindsided with electric attacks, or even a guy with a flamethrower and more. You too can also upgrade your own skills to dish out some serious punishment to the opposition.

CroNix Online Controls

The controls are very smooth and easy to get used to. The camera always stays in a perfect position behind your character and your character is able to target enemies easily. It feels more fluid than the rigid and stiff combat system you may get from a MMORPG. It’s also easier to play in my opinion than a FPS where bullets are always flying everywhere from any direction.



Graphically, CroNix Online looks great with unique character designs and cool looking maps. The game is built with Unreal Engine 3 and the gameplay is always smooth. I never had any issues with the frame rate, nor did I experience any lag while playing the game. The only thing some people may have to be aware of is that there is blood in this game. It can be brutal to see when you get a kill in this game. It’s not as violent as the gore in a Mortal Kombat game, but it’s something you don’t normally see in a free to play video game.

Overall, CroNix Online is a highly enjoyable free to play video game with great controls and fun gameplay. The visuals are also really good and it also doesn’t have a steep learning curve either. If you are sick of playing MMORPGs or FPS games, give this a try as it feels different without losing any of the fun factors.
