It doesn’t feel like a long grind leveling up as monotonous as some MMO games can be. It’s also much more interesting than a RTS game as you can actually see your characters fight in instead of combat being all simulated and seen on a report card.

Three party members are on each team, and your goal is to basically kill the other members of the opposing team. You can battle real players in real time or as bots if the game cannot find real players for you to duel with in time. There is even a mode called Battlegrounds. In this mode, this is a 9 vs 9 match involving multiple players. It’s one of the most chaotic things you will ever experience in the game. Lastly, there is even a collectable card mini-game too called CardSlayers!

Graphically, the 2D style of SideQuest is unique and resembles the look of a comic book. The attention to detail is great as each character has their own mannerisms and a unique look that isn’t typical from a usual MMO style of game. The cutscenes are also great to watch and the enemy design is commendable too.
