Viking Clan
As it was previously explained, Viking Clan is more of a social browser based game with that big of RPG element on it, so there isn't any outstanding graphic visualization being offered as it uses normal imaging along with text-based style. Although isn't going to provide any enchanting visual experience for game lovers, but those who are looking for more of that gaming essence without having any concern for graphics visualization shouldn't have an issue with this outing. Obviously, those who already have an experience in playing any Facebook social games will be common with the system being used in this title.
Starting this game, players will be provided three class options for their main character, which are also being divided into male or female gender. There will also be further choices for new classes once players reached certain kind of level, so they can change things around later on and become much stronger as the game goes. After picking up the classes, players can start their adventure in trying to become the most successful viking leader around. There are several game features that gamer can embark on this outing, but at the start they must start things out by completing task in adventure section, which will give out xp, cash and other bonuses. Once gamer finished off one task in that adventure mode, they will also received skill points that can be added to increase their strength and stamina.
Furthermore, once you get enough money, xp or any other items, players can try out other features such as Empire which purpose is to build land, housing and any other buildings which can also provide that needed financial aid for gamer. Aside from that players can also do some mini-game challenge in between adventures to acquire more bonuses. Furthermore, players can also battle against other players' character while they're forced to rest for because running out of energy needed in finishing their adventure. Unfortunately, the PvP battle section is also being limited with that stamina bar, so earlier in the game, players can't really play in a vigorous manner as they must stop after certain rounds.
In this game, the battle is kind of similar to basic Facebook outing as there isn't much things that gamer can during fights since it's being setup in that semi-automatic system. What gamer can only do is preparing their character before getting into the fight, making sure that they're on a good level and being equipped with suitable weapons and armor. Obviously, picking up the right opponent will also be a plus as don't chose those who are above your current playing level. The Boss battle also look kinda similar apart from additional options that can be used such as using the power attack setup, which added more strength on player's attacking power though it's eating up more energy.
The basic game play of Viking Clan is simply gearing up money, armor, weapons and exp to enhance your character and become that powerful character who can overcome every opponents, including other players. In fulfilling that final goal, gamer must complete several things which was already mentioned above. This outing is basically similar to any of social Facebook titles which combines several gaming element into one, without putting much focus on its visual and set that focus on the gaming part. With several limitations in fulfilling any tasks or even defeating enemies, there's that tactical element which should drive gamer's curiosity in achieving success in playing it. This eventually becomes that addictive factors since players are really keen on overcoming any hurdles and eventually getting what they're looking for in that outing.
Despite the varied features along with interesting theme that's being offered, Viking Clan's slow game play can really be an annoying factor especially early on where gamer can't really do much aside from waiting once they're running out of energy or stamina. The needs in requiring friends' help with the chieftains feature also becomes a sort of double edge sword as it can be such nice interactive element, but disturbing because just like stamina and energy, sometimes lack of chieftains can prevent players from doing some things they're keen on.
Difficulties in acquiring good items early on also kind of making things really slow in Viking Clan as players can't really expect to enhance their character in swift fashion due to that limitation. However, things obviously gets better once gamer reach certain level or situation, so patience and smart tactics are an essential key to keep the fun going while playing this outing. Fortunately enough, this game is pretty simple to play as just like any Facebook social titles, Viking Clan only need the click of your mouse to complete every other things needed.
Overall, Viking Clan is another intriguing browser-based game that offers an interesting theme with several tactical challenges which can attract many die hard social RPG gamer in trying it out. However, for those who have that strong liking for visual graphic enjoyment and not keen on long waiting hours, this title might not be something they will be fond off. Still, considering it's simple control, basic game play and tactical needs, this outing can be considered as something worth tasting especially since it's free and available in Facebook.
