Sevencore is a unique science fiction based MMORPG game that you can play online for your PC. The best thing about the game is that it is free to play. The one thing that separates this game from other MMORPG games is the fact you can battle on the land, sea or air. It’s a modern take on the genre that will please gamers looking for a major change. The minimum PC requirements to play Sevencore aren’t too bad either. All you need is at least 1GB of RAM and 2.5GB of game data for it to download.
The first thing you will do in Sevencore after it has been downloaded and installed is to create your own character. You can choose to play as one of three races that include: Sion, Bruters and Nuuk. Sions are more human-like in appearance while the Bruters are huge troll like beings. The Nuuk look more like elves more than anything else. Each race types have their own unique spells, armor and weapons they can use.
You can choose to play as a male or female character and then you can choose the class type. The class types include a Warrior, Gunner or Magician. After you have done that, you can customize the appearance for your character too. There’s a wide selection for you to do such as altering their hairstyle, skin color and face. You can also change their body type too for your own liking...
The game starts off with a cutscene showing your character flying on some type of ship heading to a place called “Lost Island”. When you land on the island, you see that other characters are riding on top of dragons. The sheer scope of this game looks amazing and it’s something you don’t see every day with most other free to play MMORPG games.
Once you land, you are in the training area where you will begin Sevencore’s tutorial. After you land, the game plays more like a traditional MMORPG game usually does. This is where you will go around talking to a lot of non playable characters accepting to do quests and other chores to do for them. The game is pretty helpful because there is a green arrow on the top right hand corner of the screen telling you where you need to go to next. You can even position the arrow to any place on the screen for your own liking.
During the tutorial, you will get a taste of the combat system. I must say, the combat system in Sevencore is fast paced and different to a lot of MMORPG games I’ve played over the years. Although Sevencore still adopts the usual point and click combat system, you can actually move around when you attack your opponents. In most MMORPG games, your character will just stand in one position all of the time while attacking. Not to mention they attack at a slow pace and have no ability to evade any attacks from the enemy too.
The combat in Sevencore is fast paced and enjoyable as a whole. The game is more fun where you can actually move around during combat to evade any attacks from your enemies. If you choose to be the “gunner” class type, you can even attack your enemies from a distance. As always, you will have access to more skills when you further progress into the game. The more skills you earn, the better your attacks will become. Overall, the combat is very fun since it’s not as slow and predictable as most other MMORPG video games.
The most unique feature of the entire game is the selection of mounts you can use. Mounts are not only just a means of travelling across long distances like they are in other MMORPG games. Mounts in Sevencore can even participate in battles too. You can only get a mount when you are at level 10 and they can travel via sea, land and air. There are all sorts of different creatures that you can use as mounts in this game. This includes raptors, moths, dragons and more.
You can even use mounts in PvP battles too. It’s quite fun to play and you can even attack at other opponents that don’t even have a mount of their own too. It may not be fair, but it’s fun to play if you have the advantage. The PvP battles can become quite chaotic because a lot of players can join in a battle to kill each other. Team based PvP battles are more fun since there’s more people for you to kill and more action is involved. PvP battles that involve battles with dragons are the best to participate in. Although only higher ranked players have the chance to ride on them!
Graphically, Sevencore looks beautiful as the “Lost Island” is highly detailed and littered with lots of things for you to do and see. The Lost Island is a pretty large area for you to explore as well. Not to mention that Sevencore is bright and colorful throughout. There are too many games out recently that look too dark and depressing for my own liking. The only thing that I feel that is missing is voice overs. This isn’t too much of a bad thing since most free to play video games don’t feature voice actors to begin with anyway. I would say that the music could have been more memorable too, but this is only a minor gripe.
Overall, Sevencore is an excellent MMORPG that includes unique combat features that make it one of the best the genre has to offer. Not only can you fight on a mount, but you can engage in battle on the land, sea or air. There aren’t too many other MMORPG games that give you this option. The graphics are also detailed and bright. The science fiction based setting also means you’ll see a lot of animals and technology that don’t feature much with medieval based MMORPG games. If you want to play a high quality free to play game with innovative features, Sevencore is your answer.
